He was the wild one with the golden voice — but the songs tell a deeper story.

The Heart of Harry

An intimate live concert celebrating the songs of Harry Nilsson.

Composer and performer Ernie Savage presents a close-listening performance devoted to the fragile beauty and emotional depth hidden inside Nilsson's extraordinary catalog.

In this powerful solo performance for piano, guitar, and voice, Nilsson's most tender songs are brought back to life — stripped down, reimagined, and deeply felt.

A rare evening of truth, beauty, and melody.

The Concept

The Heart of Harry explores the emotional and deeply human songs of Harry Nilsson — music where sweetness and melancholy live side by side.

Songs such as:

Everybody's Talkin'  ·  Without You  ·  Gotta Get Up  ·  Coconut
Remember  ·  One  ·  Spaceman  ·  1941

are reimagined through solo piano, acoustic guitar, and voice — performed within conversational distance of the audience.

Between performances, Ernie shares brief reflections on Nilsson's life, the era that shaped his music, and the remarkable musical imagination that made him one of the most distinctive voices of the singer-songwriter era.
